We are delighted that your child has been offered a Reception place at our school in September.  We look forward to welcoming you to our school community.

Welcome message and starting information

Once you have received confirmation of your child's place at Hawthorn, you will be sent an email requesting initial information about your child and your registration for CLASS DOJO.  Messages will be posted on CLASS DOJO for you and your child. Please make sure you register and access this as soon as possible.

Important Dates:

Welcome Meeting - Wednesday 18th June 2025 at 6 pm (parents only please).

July 25 (dates TBC) - your child will be invited to spend two morning or afternoon sessions at the school to meet some of the other Reception children and the class teachers and support staff.

Wednesday 3rd September - All children in full-time - 9 am to 3.15 pm.  Please do not arrive before 9 am on the first day so that we can get the rest of the school settled first.

From Thursday 4th September - 8.40 am to 3.15 pm (gates open at 8.30 am)

Wednesday 17th September - Reading Workshop for parents at 2.45 pm

Wednesday 1st October - Maths Workshop for parents at 2.45 pm
